DESIGNING YOUR HOME
Design choices :1. single story, 2500 square feet, three-car garage. ( These days the minimum size for a resalable home in most area is 2000 feet. )
2. Small, formal dining room. ( While no longer a necessity, it's great for entertaining small groups.)
3. Great room ( incorporating both the traditional family room and living room - that most people just don't use a living room anymore.)
4. Large kitchen with small eating area. (For when just the family is at home.)
5. Small dressing room (with a sink ) off the kitchen, leading out to the back yard.
6. Media room incorporating computer, TV, audio, and gaming.( This has become a necessity in our Internet world. )
7. Three large bathrooms ( one master, one guest, and one doubling as an office ), with large closed in each.
8. Three large bathrooms ( one off the master bedroom , one between the two other bedrooms, and one guest bathroom, near the great room )
9. Laundry room off the master bedroom ( the most convenient location )
10. Master bedroom, kitchen, and great room at the rear of the home ; dining room , guest bedrooms, and office toward the front. Entrance hall in to the great room. ( This helps traffic flow and reduces street noise in the rooms occupied in the evening and night. )
11. Cathedral ceiling in the great room and master bedroom only . Conventional ceilings elsewhere.
12. Presentation to the back, where there is a view.
13. Large windows toward the back.
